2009 Homecoming

Homecoming parade, lots of fun. Tylre was in it for football, Elyzah for volleyball and the Freshmen float and Grace got to be in it for Rocket cheerleading. Lots of fun, we lost homecoming to Paw Paw but the day was beautiful and the kids had fun. Tylre nor Elyzah went to the dance, they decided to just hang out with friends.

1st Day of School 2009

1st day of school 2009...Tylre a Junior, Elyzah a Freshmen, Grace is in 3rd grade, Caleb doing all day Kindergarden at Paramount and Isaac is back at Miss Marcenia's. How it is nice to be back to school...routine, we all needed it, the end of summer was getting to be hectic. The kids are really enjoying school and so is mom. I get to take Caleb to school everyday and pick him up, it gives us lots of bonding time. We get to talk about how is day went and just have some him and mom time.
Now that school has started so has busy times...Tylre is playing Varsity football and fall ball baseball, Elyzah is kicking butt in Freshmen Volleyball, Grace is playing soccer and cheerleading and Caleb is in his first year of football(flag) and loving it.

Hope everyone else is having a great beginning to a new school year!

This summer we've had 3 birthdays! Tylre has turned 16! Wow, where has the time gone? Not that long ago I was rocking him to sleep, now, he can drive!
Caleb turned 6, and boy is he a rowdy one! Time sure has changed him. And Isaac turned 3 and guess what?, he has now entered the terrible two's or should we say continuing into the 3's and getting worse.
Anyhow, I know I have been terrible and keeping this up but I will try to do better.
Caleb and Isaac at the cabin professing their love for teenage idols Hannah Montana and Taylor Swift!

Tigers Game

We went to the Tigers game on May 2nd.  Had a blast.  We were 8 rows behind the Tigers dugout.  Awesome seats.
My sister in law had free tickets and asked us to go.  It was great.  It was an awesome game to be at also.  The Tigers won 9 to 7 against the Cleveland Indians.
We got to go on the field before the game.  They had an on the field clinic.  I also got a few pictures of the players up close.  My sister in law got a few of the players autographs.  It was a great time.  Can't wait to do it again.

Grace and Caleb's 50's Concert

Grace and Caleb had their concert at school.  It was all 50's songs.  It was really cool and they did awesome!
Grace had a solo for the Twister and Caleb got to go out and do the Twist in front of everyone with some of the other kindergarden class.  They had a ton of fun.  We are still hearing the songs being sung around the house.  Isaac even loves to sing them.
Papa, Grandma Ada and Grandpa were all able to come down and watch.  That was awesome.  And it made their day.
After the concert, we all went out for ice cream at McDonalds.  Then we all went home and went to bed.  What a wonderful night we all had.

Disney World

Meeting Mickey and Minnie was awesome, but we thought Isaac would love it but instead he was scared to death.  He would not let go of us, he had a death grip on his dad in all of these pictures.

Mickey tried to make Isaac comfortable by tickling him, it kinda worked buy he still wouldn't have anything to do with him.  All he did is talk about giving Mickey a hug and a kiss all day and then when it came down to it, he wouldn't go near him.

Tylre and Elyzah were off running around with Uncle Doug while at Disney so I didn't get many pictures of them but they had a blast with him and I think he also had a blast with them.

Our trip was wonderful.  Can't wait to go back!!!  It wasn't long enough, but when is vacation?!

A day at the beach!

Isaac enjoying a walk along the beach with Aunt Kathy and Uncle Doug.  They really tired him out that day, between the sun and the walks.

Grace collected over 100 shells that day.  That is pretty much all she did.  Along with the help of dad, Tylre, Caleb, Aunt Kathy, Uncle Doug and mom when I found one here and there.

Elyzah spent most of the day laying on the beach trying to get a tan.  She insisted on coming back to Michigan with some kind of a tan.

Isaac refused to go into the water so I played in the sand with him most of the day.

Tylre and Kelly body surfing most of the day.  It was a great day in the sun.  Afterwards we went looking for alligators but found none this time.  Oh well...it was a relaxing drive.

Fishing, Busch Gardens, Space Shuttle

We may have been about 30 miles away but it was still really cool.  We got to see the Space Shuttle take off, something my kids will have for a lifetime.  I think that is pretty awesome.

Caleb and Isaac were sitting on the lion and tiger at Busch Gardens.  We had a complete blast there.  We can't wait to go back.  That was probably our favorite park this time.  One because it was new and second just because there was so much to do for both young and old.

The boys went fishing.  Kelly met a friend of ours who was also down in Florida in St. Petersburg and they went out for a chartered fishing trip.  I believe that they all had a great time.  As you can see, Caleb sure did!

Sea World

We went to Sea World and had a blast.

The interaction with the animals was awesome.  Feeding the stingrays and the dolphins, was so cool.

Watching the killer whale and dolphin shows were really neat and getting the picture of Kelly, Tylre and Elyzah on the roller coaster was just very talented of me.  LOL!

Anyhow so far our trip has been amazing and it is only our 2nd full day!  Bare with me and I will get the rest of the trip posted for all to see!

Wonder Works Florida

Our 1st full day in Florida was spent at a place called Wonderworks.  It was pretty cool.  A lot of fun things for the kids to do.  They played and played, and then we went and ate, and headed for Aunt Kathy and Uncle Doug's.  Had a blast of course.  We had a fun filled week.  Uncle Doug and Aunt Kathy were awesome host and hostess and we can't wait till we can go back again.  The kids are already missing them and the gorgeous weather we had.

Father Daughter Dance

February 21, 2009
Father/Daughter
Dance

Mom and girls started off the day by going to the store and buying new dresses.
Elyzah decided she wanted hers to be a little fancy because it was her last father daughter dance.  Grace was tougher she liked dresses that I thought looked terrible on her finally we agreed on the one she is wearing, and they both matched.

When it was time to go dad had to figure out what he was gonna wear, he decided that he would wear black pants, white shirt and a black tie so he matched the girls.  They all looked wonderful.
They had a great time until the end of  the night when Elyzah started feeling yucky and got sick and then they came home!  That's okay, the dance was over.

Caleb's wrestling 09

Caleb has been wrestling this year and been doing a pretty good job for his 1st year.

Dad and Tylre were his coach and they did a great job with him.  Caleb wasn't the greatest at listening to directions from them but when he did listen he did great.

The season is a little long for a 5 year old though.  Next year will hopefully be better for him and he will hopefully be older and more patient.
It was a fun year though.
