Nursing Home Outreach

At our church we did tons of fun things this year but one of the things the kids participated in was the Nursing home Outreach.  We had two groups of children, who each went to two different Nursing homes...4 total.  It was a blast we did a short little play and sang a lot of songs.

Grace had a solo and did awesome!  All the kids did great.  We had a blast.  The residents of the homes were very happy with our performance and loved having the kids there. The kids handed out homemade ornaments to the residents who totally loved the attention and the gift.

Afterwards they were treated to candy canes and juice and cookies.  God definatly blessed us all with safe journeys and for introducing us to our new friends...Can't wait to do it next year!

Tylre's Winter Formal

Tylre had his Winter Formal.  He didn't ask anyone so ended up going by himself.  But as you can see met up with friends who also didn't have dates.

He kept telling us he was gonna ask someone and then just ran out of time.  Oh well.
He says he had a good time.  And as you can see he is looking very handsome!  Wow, he is growing up fast!

Visiting Santa

I took the day off from work and took the boys to see Santa.

Isaac wasn't too sure of him at first but after Santa started giving him little gifts like a book and reindeer ears, he loosened up some.  He even ended up giving Santa a hug before we left.

Caleb on the other hand just loved seeing him.  He was thrilled and told Santa all about all the wonderful things he wanted for Christmas, including a dog!!!!!!   Not too sure if he is gonna get that one but we will have to see.

All in all we had a wonderful boy and mom day.  In fact it was a great day.  I wish I could do it more often.

Tree Decorating

The kids pose for a picture after the tree is decorated for Christmas cards.

Elyzah put Caleb on her shoulders so he could put some ornaments towards the top of the tree.

Tylre got out of decorating the tree by stepping on a toothpick that went halfway into his foot and was bleeding pretty good!  He didn't want to decorate anyhow.

Caleb found an Angel Ornament and was just really excited about it.  He was coming back towards me to show me it.

Grace and Caleb taking turns putting up the ornaments.
The night went pretty well until it was time to take the kid's pictures.  Isaac decided to be a stinker so it took a lot longer then it should have and they didn't turn out as well as I would have liked.
Oh well, we had a pretty good night!  Hope all of you are having a wonderful Christmas season!

Thanksgiving at Dads

Dawson and Ryan Loving
On their Papa for a picture!

Dawson and Isaac eating Thanksgiving dinner and stopping for a picture for Aunt Beth

Kelly and I posing for a picture that I took myself, he came in from hunting, we ate dinner with my family and then off to dinner with Kelly's mom and dad.  Isaac was loving his cousin Alydia, he kissed on her all day long.
Tylre didn't want his picture taken because as we can tell he really needs a hair cut!
David and Darcie posing for a picture before dinner!

Precious Alydia, isn't she just a cutie.  What a good little girl.  She is my lil' sweetheart.

Thanksgiving

As Thanksgiving approaches I just wanted to tell everyone how thankful I am that they are a part of my life.  Some of you are family, some of you are dear friends who are like family.  I just thank you all for sticking by us, supporting us.  We love you all and wish you all a blessed Thanksgiving.
Remember to give God all the glory for all things in your life.  I Corinthians 10:31,  So whether you eat or drink, or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God!!

Thanks to all of you who check this site out to see what is going on in our everyday, busy lives.

Just because

We aren't always lucky enough to catch these 2 showing their love for one another so this time we did and figured we better get it on camera because usually one or the other is teasing!

Mommy wasn't feeling all that well so she went to bed early, Isaac decided to climb up in bed with mom and go to bed with her.
Caleb got this snake candy thing from the video store.  It kinda looked real so we took a picture of it and sent it to dad.

Grace's 8th Birthday

Grace's 8th birthday!

We had cake and as a family and she went out and picked out a bunch of stuff from us, a few shirts, a dress, a new purse and a couple friendship necklaces.  We had a blast.

Then a week later she had 3 friends come over and spend the night.  She chose to go to Airway Lanes and go bowling and do the bumper cars.  As you can tell she had a lot of fun.
We bowled then we ate pizza then did the bumper cars, then we came home and watched movies and went to bed.

All in all it was a pretty good time!

Halloween

Halloween was fun.  We had 2 batmen, Caleb was suppose to be the only one and then Isaac was gonna be Robin but we couldn't find a costume.  Grace was Gabriella off of High School Musical, Elyzah was a volleyball player and Tylre was a football player.
1st we went to downtown Richland where the church and other local businesses were.  There was a petting zoo, a bunch of games, and some jumpy things.
Then we came home and dad took the kids around the neighborhood.  Everyone had a blast.

Hope everyone had a wonderful and safe Halloween!!!!!!

Lions Game

Okay so why do we pay to watch the Lions Lose!  Anyhow they played the Redskins and they lost!  But David, Darcie, Kelly and I had fun anyhow!

Elyzah is 13!  Hard to believe that thirteen years has passed.

She went from being my little angel to being someone I don't always know.  But I guess that is part of growing up and developing your own identity.

Isaac just playing around

This is my little goof ball, he loves to make us laugh.  He had to put on his little hat that Aunt Jody and Uncle Jay got him and prance around and then started playing with his new favorite toy, his brothers lightening mcqueen!

Had to get some pics up of him also.  Hope everyone is enjoying.

Tylre and Elyzah sports

Football season has once again begun.  We have now played 4 games.  All games have been very close but we don't have the greatest record so far.
1 and 3  still have 5 games to go  so hopefully the season will get better.

Tylre is having an awesome year so far.  He is playing defense  and every once in a while he will help out on offense.  We are really enjoying watching him play.

Volleyball has been alot of fun so far.  Elyzah has improved so much this year and is fun to watch.

We are so busy again with all the kids doing their thing but with 5 kids, the Gostlins can't stand still!

The flooding from the windows at Bronson Hospital

These were taken on Sunday night the 14th of Sept.  These are the parking lots at the hospital and the roads around.  They say we averaged about 11 total inches of rain but with the creek filling and not having anywhere to go it went into the roads and all over.  Finally it is Monday and the rain has stopped.  There is a ton of damage, I'm sure.  Even though, it was pretty cool.

Caleb's 1st soccer game 9/6/08

Okay so Caleb played his first game on a gorgeous day.  It was a beautiful morning.  They ended up losing 5-1 but he had so much fun.  He was the only one to score a goal on his team.
He loved it and can't wait to play again.
They play 4 on 4 so he played 2 full quarters out of the 3.  It was great.
WAY TO GO CALEB, KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK!
