Christmas

Christmas Morning we woke up and Santa had visited the kids,  Caleb got Heleys, a guitar and a light up turtle for bed.

Isaac got a light up Dog for bed, Little Einstin bath toys, and Diego toys.

Grace got a styling studio, a DS light game and some game for the car.

Tylre and Elyzah both got an Ihome and a gift card, Elyzah's was to Claires and Tylre's to Finish Line.  And as a family gift they recieved Rock Band for the Wii.  All morning Tylre spent playing Wii,  Elyzah went back to bed, Caleb and Isaac played with their light up animals and Grace
kept trying on her outfits.
We had a good Christmas Morning.  Unfortunately, mom decided to help hand out presents and didn't take any pictures, luckly we have it all on video.

Our nice Christmas soon came to an end, we were all getting ready to sit down to dinner and we received a phone call from my Uncle telling us that my sister had passed away in her sleep.  It ended up being the worst Christmas my children will probably ever have.
We packed our clothes and rushed up north to be by Dad's side.  and that is pretty much where we were most of the time.

We had Christmas at Kelly's parents house, the kids had fun, but I was in no mood.  And then Christmas was at my brothers, everything was good but again, nobody was really in the mood.  The kids enjoyed their gifts and that is the most important and it did take our minds off of other things for awhile but it was just a very hard time.
So as you can tell Christmas wasn't exactly what we planned

Nursing Home Outreach

At our church we did tons of fun things this year but one of the things the kids participated in was the Nursing home Outreach.  We had two groups of children, who each went to two different Nursing homes...4 total.  It was a blast we did a short little play and sang a lot of songs.

Grace had a solo and did awesome!  All the kids did great.  We had a blast.  The residents of the homes were very happy with our performance and loved having the kids there. The kids handed out homemade ornaments to the residents who totally loved the attention and the gift.

Afterwards they were treated to candy canes and juice and cookies.  God definatly blessed us all with safe journeys and for introducing us to our new friends...Can't wait to do it next year!

Tylre's Winter Formal

Tylre had his Winter Formal.  He didn't ask anyone so ended up going by himself.  But as you can see met up with friends who also didn't have dates.

He kept telling us he was gonna ask someone and then just ran out of time.  Oh well.
He says he had a good time.  And as you can see he is looking very handsome!  Wow, he is growing up fast!

Visiting Santa

I took the day off from work and took the boys to see Santa.

Isaac wasn't too sure of him at first but after Santa started giving him little gifts like a book and reindeer ears, he loosened up some.  He even ended up giving Santa a hug before we left.

Caleb on the other hand just loved seeing him.  He was thrilled and told Santa all about all the wonderful things he wanted for Christmas, including a dog!!!!!!   Not too sure if he is gonna get that one but we will have to see.

All in all we had a wonderful boy and mom day.  In fact it was a great day.  I wish I could do it more often.
